Your role as Vice President of Product at Movella

The Vice President of Product will be responsible for leading the product strategy for our motion capture systems and inertial measurement units across various markets. You will work closely with the engineering, sales, and marketing teams to drive product innovation and growth, ensuring our offerings align with market needs and emerging trends. The result of your efforts should lead to increased sales and market share. This position will report to the CEO.

 

Key responsibilities:

Product Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product vision and strategy that aligns with company goals and market opportunities.

  • Assess market attractiveness and prioritize product development efforts based on potential impact and ROI.

  • Drive the product roadmap, balancing short-term wins with long-term innovation.

 

Market and Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

  • Evaluate new market opportunities and guide product positioning and messaging.

  • Define and implement pricing strategy.

 

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with the VP of Engineering, Line of Business Directors & Marketing to ensure cohesive product development and go-to-market strategies.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on product initiatives from concept through to launch.

  • Communicate and cascade product strategy down and across company.

  • Mentor and further develop the product management team.

 

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with key customers to gather feedback and ensure the product roadmap addresses their needs.

  • Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring product decisions enhance customer satisfaction and business outcomes. Manage customer feedback in product prototyping.

  

Financial Oversight

  • Track product performance against financial goals, including revenue, profitability, and market share.

  • Ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Job requirements

Movella is looking for a visionary Vice President of Product to spearhead our product strategy and lead a high-performing team in shaping the future of our products. You have:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching products in high-tech industries, preferably in sensor technology, robotics, or similar fields.

  • Strong understanding of motion capture systems, inertial measurement units, and related technologies.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics.

  • Experience working in a B2B environment, with a focus on driving product-led growth.
