Your role as a Senior Account Executive at Movella

As a Senior Account Executive for our Automation & Mobility business line, you are responsible for the sales of our A&M-related products and propositions in the Americas, the industrial-grade sensors: the Xsens MTi-series® product line. You will serve the mobile robots and smart vehicles and transportation markets, Marine, Training & Simulation, 3D mapping and antenna/camera stabilization applications.


You will closely team-up with our Field Application Engineers, Sales Support, Marketing and Operations to be the driving force behind the growth of the installed base and revenues. You will be the one to bring home new opportunities and secure long-lasting relationships with new Automation & Mobility clients.


Our office is in Los Angeles, we are however particularly interested in East Coast based candidates, as this will be the region of focus for this role.


Key challenges:

  • Responsible for the direct sales process, aiming at exceeding sales targets
  • Follow up leads and generate new business, setup new channels and be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers and partners
  • Responsible for working with the sales & marketing team to identify, interest and onboard new clients and developing client relationships,
  • Submit short and long-term sales plans, prepare sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Responsible for keeping clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on day-to-day basis

Job requirements

Movella is looking for an Account Executive who has technical sales skills, while also having superb hunting and ‘closing’ skills. Written and verbal communication in fluent English are a must, as is IT literacy. This position requires a highly motivated, self-starting sales professional with technical acumen, who is focused on results and can communicate effectively at all levels.


You have more than 8 years of experience and proven success in international B2B sales in a (high-) tech environment, and your skills consist of:

  • A background and/or experience w.r.t. relevant fields of expertise, specifically: IMU’s, INS products, (RTK-) GNSS global positioning and MEMS sensors in general, is considered an advantage
  • A bachelor/master's degree in business administration or engineering is preferred, though candidates with other degrees will be considered
  • Analytical, written and oral communication and presentation skills in English
  • The ability to plan and execute on a tight schedule, and deal with stress in professional way
  • Working pro-actively to solve problems, looking for opportunities to take on more responsibility
  • A high-level knowledge, understanding and experience with respect to modern CRM- and presentation tools
  • Well organized, disciplined, and professional funnel management and accurate forecasting
  • Ability to travel in assigned region up to 50% of time
