Your role as Sales Manager at Movella
As our Sales Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing our Body Sensor Network (BSN) direct sales team. This role is integral to driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and maintaining our leadership position in delivering cutting-edge solutions across various industries including Entertainment and Health & Sports.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Sales Manager will oversee a team of approximately 8 sales representatives (based in Europe and US) and will actively engage in managing key accounts directly. The role will require monthly travel between the Netherlands and the US.
Key Challenges
Sales Team Leadership
o Lead, manage, and coach a high-performing B2B sales team
o Set clear goals, monitor performance metrics, and provide regular feedback to team members
o Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture across geographically dispersed regions
o Identify and address skill gaps through targeted training and development initiatives
Sales Strategy and Execution
o Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
o Collaborate with the Commercial Director to align sales objectives with overall business goals
o Utilize data-driven insights to refine sales processes and strategies for optimal performance
Account Management
o Directly manage key accounts (quota carrying) to build strong, long-term customer relationships
o Negotiate and close complex system sales with enterprise-level customers
o Ensure seamless communication and alignment between key accounts and internal teams.
International Collaboration
o Coordinate efforts between US and European sales teams to ensure consistency in approach and customer experience
o Maintain regular communication with team members across both regions, addressing challenges and opportunities unique to each market
Travel and On-Site Engagement
o Travel frequently between the US and Europe to engage with team members, key accounts, and industry events
o Represent Movella/Xsens at conferences, trade shows, and customer meeting
Pipeline Management
o Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting
o Drive pipeline growth through effective lead generation and qualification
o Support the team in navigating complex sales cycles and removing roadblocks.
Market Insights
o Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics
o Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to influence future product development and go-to-market strategies.
Job requirements
Movella is looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager. You have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus
· Minimum of 7 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales management role
· Proven success in managing international sales teams and achieving revenue targets
· Strong background in complex system sales, preferably within the technology or motion capture industries
· Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams
· Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
· Ability to navigate and close intricate sales cycles with enterprise customers
· Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics

· Advanced quantitative and analytical skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across cultures
· Willingness to travel extensively between the US and Europe.
