Your role as a Manufacturing Engineer at Movella

As a Manufacturing Engineer you are the linchpin between our Engineering and Operations. You will work closely with both departments to ensure a smooth transition between product development and production.

You are responsible for taking the lead in developing and maintaining tools for assuring the quality of production methods for Movella’s product lines. You will set up automated test procedures and reporting, both in-house as well as working with manufacturing partners.


You will work closely with the Hardware Engineers on implementing the new or making modifications to the Quality Assurance Protocol and productions methods. You focus on ensuring that product quality risks are traced and quantified upfront to provide feedback during product development. The position requires continuous interaction with Operations, Engineering, and our partners.

You will be part of the Engineering Team, based in Enschede, the Netherlands.



Key challenges:

  • Conduct (D)FMEA and root cause analysis for projects
  • Collect data from reports and tests to identify trends and issues
  • Develop and implement test tooling for the production environment
  • Implement changes to quality processes to reduce defects
  • Actively follows-up as and when required on manufacturer interactions/evaluations/feedback
  • Actively searches for opportunities to reduce the yield loss and lower production costs
  • Apply SPC and develop new quality tools
  • Supports the Field Application Engineer with RMA’s and customer support
  • Become an active project team member to represent manufacturing

Job requirements

Movella is looking for a thorough Manufacturing Engineer. Someone who thrives in an environment where your analytical thinking is highly appreciated. You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, Electronics, Mechatronics or related
  • Diagnostic Information Gathering
  • Affiliation with statistics and willing to apply for Lean Green belt
  • Knowledge on Lean Six Sigma
  • Interest in Quality Assurance and improvement
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience as Process/Manufacturing Engineer
  • Result driven, proactive and conscientious personality
  • Good communication skills in both Dutch and English
