Your role as an IT Support Engineer at Movella
We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to deliver exceptional 1st and 2nd line support to ~125 colleagues worldwide. You’ll be the first point of contact for technical issues, resolving incidents promptly and escalating when necessary. You see problems as a challenge, keep an overview, and set the right priorities.
You’ll work closely with the in-house IT team and contracted service providers, reporting to our IT Manager. Your focus is end-user devices and day-to-day support. This position is based in Enschede, the Netherlands.
Key challenges:
Deliver 1st and 2nd line IT support via our ITSM tool, Freshservice, to staff across multiple locations.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for Windows and mobile devices.
Support end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, peripherals, and the IT systems and equipment in our operations environment.
Manage and secure devices with Microsoft Intune; provide remote help via TeamViewer, Quick Assist, or Microsoft Teams.
Handle access management for business applications; maintain accurate IT asset records.
Assist with onboarding/offboarding (automated user provisioning; manual app access management).
Troubleshoot basic networking (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN), including patching ports and desk setups.
Apply and support security best practices: MFA, conditional access, phishing campaigns.
Collaborate with our network specialist and external vendors on improvements; escalate complex network/infrastructure issues rather than owning them.
Contribute to documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
Spend ~70% on support and 30% on projects (e.g., device lifecycle automation, security enhancements, etc).
Job requirements
Movella is seeking an IT Support Engineer who combines technical curiosity with a proactive mindset. You’ll thrive in our collaborative IT team, where responsibility, innovation, and continuous improvement go hand in hand. You are socially skilled, take initiative, and always aim for the best employee experience through excellent IT support.
You have:
2+ years in a 1st/2nd line IT support role (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID/AD, and Intune
Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online
Understanding of MFA, BitLocker, and conditional access
Familiarity/interest in PowerShell, Power Automate, or Copilot Studio
Basic networking (VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
Proactive and structured mindset; you document and prevent repeat issues
Strong communication skills in Dutch and English; service-oriented and people-focused)
MS-900 certification (or willingness to obtain).
