Your role as a Senior Technology Manager at Movella

As our Senior Technology Manager you are responsible for leading an applied research team aimed at delivering performance insights that will lead to new sensor fusion, human performance and health technologies addressing current and future Movella products and motion analytics applications. You will drive technology concept formulation through to technology prototype validation, in close collaboration with your team as well as academic research and industry partners.

You will be part of the management team and report to our CTO based in USA. You will be based in Enschede, the Netherlands.

Key challenges:

  • Taking complex technology projects from conception to commercial success
  • Managing and driving the team’s deliverables aligned with product releases and roadmap
  • Attracting and retaining top talent for building a technical team from a small size to a functional organization with a well-defined charter
  • Collaborating with distributed technology teams that have cross-functional dependencies, to execute shared development goals
  • Collaborating with universities and corporations for generation of algorithms and knowhow
  • Fostering team development in domain-specific areas with avenues for learning and growth

Job requirements

Movella is looking for a solution oriented Senior Technology Manager. Someone who thrives in an environment where your team management skills are highly appreciated. You have:

  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, biomechanics, applied mathematics, mechanical engineering or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hands-on management of technology or engineering teams
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in robotics, biomechanics, sensor fusion, or similar
  • Proficiency in MEMS inertial sensor fusion technology and algorithms is required
  • Proven experience in development of commercial products
  • Strong leadership qualities comprised of focus on results and customer-oriented mindset
  • Technical expertise in multiple domains with the ability to process complex ideas and data
  • Ability to work with cross-functional, matrixed teams, including business as well as technology
  • Equally adept at working with senior management, subordinates and cross-functional peers
  • Ability to motivate direct reports and influence others with energetic, infectious leadership
  • Proven ability to manage critical situations, demonstrating ownership and accountability
