Your role as a Senior Technical Accountant at Movella

As a Senior Technical Accountant you will be playing a key role in monthly / quarterly / yearly close cycles, financial reporting and audits. Furthermore you will support the management in completing projects at hand. You will be part of the corporate finance team and report to the Controller. 

Currently, this is a working from home position. You may need to work from our San Jose office once or twice per month.

Key Challenges:

• Complete the month-end and year end close for one of the international subsidiary group + oversee full cycle at that location
• Prepare monthly actual vs budget by class reporting and provide the analysis for the account fluctuations
• Prepare proforma financial monthly, or upon request and assist with quarterly investor reporting
• Assist with quarterly and annual reporting as well as external audit and support audit requests as needed
• Conduct the analysis of accounting announcements and draft the technical accounting memo
• Assist with BOD slides preparation
• Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned

Movella is looking for an accurate and efficient Senior Accountant . Someone who thrives in an environment where your ability to adapt to changing priorities is highly appreciated. You have:

• 4 years of public accounting or 5+ years of private accounting working experience. CPA a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Hands-on experience of US GAAP financial reporting
• Familiar with related party transactions and consolidation
• Efficient and accurate in day-to-day responsibilities while being adaptable to changing priorities as they arise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Microsoft Business Central accounting system experience a plus
