Your role as a  Senior 3D Character Artist


OBSKUR, which recently joined forced with Xsens and became part of Movella, is seeking an experienced 3D Artist to support their continuous growth. As a 3D Artist you will aid in creating the best interactive VTuber Rigs powered by Xsens, and our inhouse applications, integrations, and MMO metaverse games.

Advanced pipelines will be taught for Stylized/Anime UE4 realtime characters.


This is a remote position with US pacific time zone core hours.


Key challenges :

  • Collaborate with Principal Designer to create real-time 3D character assets
  • Create facial ArKit/FACS blendshapes
  • Collaborate with UE4 engineers to properly export assets for integration

Requirements

We are looking for a self-starting 3D Character Artist. Someone who thrives in an environment where your passion for innovation and teamwork are highly appreciated. You have:

  • 3+ years of professional 3D production experience creating characters/avatars
  • Advanced skills in Maya and/or Blender
  • Attention to detail in Modeling/Topology, Blendshape, and Appeal
  • Have an advanced understanding and experience in the creation of facial blendshapes
  • Excellent sense of human anatomy, shape, proportions, and silhouette
  • Advanced skill in skeleton creation, joint placement and orientation methods for UE4, body/clothing skinning
  • Excellent verbal communication and teamwork skills
  • Online portfolio

Preferable

  • Optimize/revise topology and textures of the models from creators or downloaded resources to match style guides
  • Expertise in Unreal Engine shading and lighting; proficiency in various shader techniques
  • Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter
  • Hard-surface modeling
  • Have participated in the creation of a customizable character
  • Knowledge of PBR based workflows
