Your role as a Principal Systems Architect at Movella

As a Principal Systems Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex systems and solutions for our motion technology products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture designs, ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our systems. You will also provide guidance and leadership to the engineering teams, driving the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions.

This position it to be based in Enschede, the Netherlands. We are looking to fill this position starting Q4 2023.

Key challenges:

• Design and implement complex systems and solutions for our motion technology products, ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of the systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture designs.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the engineering teams, driving the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and system documentation.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the motion technology space and provide recommendations on how to incorporate them into our products to maintain a competitive advantage and improve performance and reliability.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of third-party software and hardware components to ensure compatibility with our systems and products.

Movella is looking for a collaborative Principal Systems Architect, with the ability to work with cross functional teams. Someone who thrives in an environment where you’re your communication and interpersonal skills are highly appreciated. You have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience as a systems architect, with a focus on complex systems and solutions, at a senior-level role.
• Strong experience with software and hardware architecture design and development.
• Experience with motion technology products and solutions, such as sensors, software, and analytics.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based architectures, microservices, and containerization.
• Strong experience with one or more programming languages, such as C++, Python, or Java.
