Your role as a Global Quality Manager Engineering at Movella

As Global Quality Manager Engineering you will be managing consistent quality on global product developments that focus on capturing, processing and sharing data on body and motion. These products provide premium solutions for animation, human motion measurement, sports, healthcare and industrial applications.

As Global Quality Manager Engineering you will drive quality improvements for product development in the Movella group. You will be involved in the further development, monitoring and maintenance of an organization-wide quality system. You will do this by detecting and describing bottlenecks and drawing up quality plans with various departments and business units and monitoring the implementation process. You will report to Director Engineering. The product development at Movella consist of hardware, firmware, software and Cloud developments. The products are developed in Agile/Scrum teams, which operate on global level. You will be based in Enschede, the Netherlands.

Key challenges :

• Setup and manage international processes and procedures to ensure quality in product development
• Build Quality Assurance teams across the Movella group locations which report functionally to the Global Quality Manager Engineering
• Make sure that quality assurance is embedded into the product development process
• Regularly analyze quality data and suggest actions based on collected data
• Ensure quality and sustainability of product development processes
• Coordinating the execution of audits and ensure to follow-up the results of these audits
• Being a discussion partner for external auditors and suppliers in the field of quality
• In cooperation with suppliers, ensure the execution of quality controls and inspections from raw materials to end product together with the department Operations
• Advising, facilitating and supporting management to meet the established quality requirements and to support them in making responsible decisions about the integral quality policy.

• At least 8-15 years of experience as a Quality Manager or similar role within a somewhat larger international company
• Affinity with hardware, software and cloud product development
• You have knowledge of international audit models, processes and certification
• You can plan and organize like no other and quality management is made for you
• You can show the importance of quality assurance and what this means for both your colleagues and the organization as a whole;
• You are decisive, solution and people-oriented;
• You are hands-on to support and execute quality projects;
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• High proficiency in English and preferably in Dutch as well
