Your role as a Front End Engineer at Movella

As a Front-end Developer you are responsible for the technical realization of the front-end of our customer facing web and mobile applications. Through your creative and detailed approach, you will create superior user interfaces with clear technical structures, considering future optimization and clean code. You will collaborate with backend developers, as well as Product Managers, QA Engineers, and UX/UI designers.

You will be part of the Engineering team. You will be working in an Agile/Scrum team together with our external partner in cloud development. This role will be based out of Canada. 

Key challenges :

• Build responsive web & mobile applications as part of the product
• Follow industry-leading software development practices
• Write Production quality code and ensure code quality at the highest level
• Communicate with all the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
• Take responsibility for complete Web development/publishing process as required
• Write relevant unit/automated tests for adequate code coverage

Movella is looking for a creative and self-motivated Front-end Developer. Someone who thrives in an environment where your ability to work independently and problem-solving skills are highly appreciated. You have:

• 10 to 12 years relevant experience
• Well versed with building scalable products using appropriate frontend technologies
• Exposure to web/hybrid technologies ( JS, React/React Native, Vue, etc ) is mandatory
• Prior experience in building mobile apps that are published in App Store with good ratings and used at scale
• Understands well RestAPI, Micro Front-end, Dockers, Cross Platform FE implementations
• Comfortable with Atlassian tool set( Jira, Confluence, etc)
• Experience in Java /Kotlin/ Swift or similar languages
• Experience in MVC/MVVM etc required
• Experience in REST / JSON-based data handling
• Experience in unit testing for web & mobile applications required
• Exposure to responsive design is highly desirable
